VIDEO CLIP: Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri at the 13th memorial service of the late Mama Rose Diri, mother of Governor Douye Diri, held in Ayamasa Town, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
I joined His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri and his family in honouring the memory of their beloved mother, Mama Rose Diri, at her 13th memorial service.
As the family fondly reflected on the beautiful memories she created and the enduring values she instilled in those around her, I prayed for her gentle soul to continue to rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.
Mama Rose Diri’s legacy of compassion and strength remains a source of inspiration, and her impact will undoubtedly continue to live on through the lives she touched and the family she nurtured with immeasurable love.

The economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can best be testified by the workers who are directly engaged in implementing them and who understand their real impact on our economy. It is in recognition of this reality that the Working People United (WoPU) has risen to this responsibility.
As a civic movement established to mobilize workers, artisans, farmers, and professionals across all 36 States in support of these reforms, WoPU has taken a patriotic and forward-looking decision that will strengthen policy communication and advance the ideology of the #RenewedHope agenda across homes and communities.
I commend the leadership of WoPU for this worthy cause and, while appreciating my appointment as a Patron, I affirm my full support. I also assured them of my availability to work with and contribute to the progress and success of this important national initiative.

Our reforms are drawing global attention and the world is responding. I had the honour of receiving a distinguished delegation from the Government of Japan, led by Kobayashi Takayuki, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairperson of the Policy Research Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
Japan's interest is clear: stronger bilateral ties and deeper partnerships with Nigeria in the petroleum resources sector.
In our discussions, I reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to this relationship, highlighting our shared strategic interests in energy and the bold reforms undertaken in our oil and gas industry under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
These are reforms that have enhanced transparency, strengthened regulatory frameworks, and positioned Nigeria as one of the most competitive energy investment destinations in the world.
The momentum is real. The partnerships are coming. And we are just getting started.

From the upstream to the midstream and the downstream, we have been recording significant growth, arising from the transformations and reforms we have implemented in the oil sector. These milestones reflect deliberate policy choices, strengthened institutions, and a renewed vision for efficiency and sustainability across the energy value chain.
However, reforms do not implement themselves, nor do they translate into productivity without the commitment of our people. It is, therefore, with deep appreciation that I celebrate our workforce across the energy sector today, whose expertise, dedication, and resilience continue to drive this sector toward greater productivity and global competitiveness.
We place immense value on your commitment to national growth and your steadfast dedication to sustainable practices. Your efforts remain the backbone of our progress. Be assured that the Government will continue to stand firmly with you, supporting you and fostering an environment where your contributions can thrive for the benefit of our nation.

Sen. Lokpobiri highlights that Nigeria’s oil sector reforms are drawing global attention, and the world is responding, as he received a delegation from the Japanese Government.
In Bayelsa State and across the nation, the #RenewedHope initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR are impacting positively on our economic growth, giving rise to increased infrastructural development for us in the Niger Delta, as well as meaningful job creation.
It is on this note that we have embraced the mission to promote and effectively communicate these initiatives to the grassroots, thereby garnering more support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and his re-election in the 2027 General Elections.
In my speech at the Official Inauguration of the State Exco and Unveiling of the State Secretariat of the City Boy Movement, Bayelsa State Chapter, I highlighted the positive impacts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic policies and initiatives, especially in the oil sector, which have resulted in increased FAAC allocations and improved 13% derivation benefits for oil-producing States, including Bayelsa.
As a reformer and progressive fellow, I proudly announced my full support for the City Boy Movement in ways that will strengthen their engagement with Bayelsans while advancing the ideals of the Renewed Hope agenda.

Sen. Lokpobiri drums up support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his positive economic reforms, as he throws his weight behind City Boy Movement in Bayelsa State.
Nigerian homes. Nigerian factories. Nigerian futures. That is not a slogan. That is a policy direction.
At the Southfield Petroleum Limited (SPL) Utorogu Plant groundbreaking in Delta State, I reaffirmed what I have always believed: deepening indigenous participation in Nigeria's energy sector is not optional, it is the work.
The Federal Government isn't just a regulator. It's a builder, and SPL partnership with the NCDMB is proof that the model delivers.
The opportunities are still largely untapped. My message remains the same: Nigeria is open for business.

I joined the Gbaseimor family with a deeply sympathetic heart as they bid farewell to their beloved father and brother, His Royal Highness, Late King Agbodo Gbaseimor JP, Oguru Bebe Kene Kene Kuro-Agbe XVIII, the Amananaowei of the Ekeremor Federated Community.
His Royal Highness was a remarkable unifying figure whose wisdom, dignity, and devotion to peace strengthened the bonds within the community. His presence inspired unity, progress, and a sense of shared identity among all who encountered him, and his passing leaves a void that will be profoundly felt.
I pray that the Lord grants him eternal rest in His bosom and comforts the entire Gbaseimor family during this difficult time, and may they find solace in the enduring legacies of leadership, unity, and service that he leaves behind.
