I have started an account focusing on my tattooing! Since I have decided to return to full time tattooing here in Umeå, Sweden, it was also high time to start showing my daily tattoo work.
On @senju.tattoo I will not be showing a cavalcade of all the tattoos I have created during my 35 years as a tattoo artist, but rather focus on what I am currently creating. Sure, once in a while there will be some older works presented, but I am much more interested in Being Here Now. Nostalgia paired with resting on dusty old laurels is a mind trap, and as we know, the best work is the work you do in this instant.
The account is mostly in Swedish, but please remember that there is always a translate button, and if not interested too much in the words, just let the images speak for themselves.
For convinience, I will also post about in today's Stories so you can follow it from there.
I am looking so much forward to seeing you all there, my friends!

Snakes are often associated with sin, lust, deception and evil. At least in the parts of the world that have suffered under the delusions propagated by Christianity and the Bible.
In Japan, the snake is a symbol of fertility and associated with rain. The myths and beliefs regarding the Ryu (dragon) stems out of much older worship of the snake. From the early middle ages in Japan, the snake became associated with distorted ideas of the nature of women, using the image of the snake to attribute things like jealousy and lust to universal womanhood. This idea of women being controlled by base emotions like the aforementioned, and also being responsible for luring men into arousal etc, was illustrated through stories like the one about Kiyohime, in which a young girl becomes obsessed with a young monk. Upon being rejected by him she turns into a large snake, coils herself around the huge temple bell in which the monk has taken refuge, and lets her fiery rage burn them to death. Men’s inability to handle their own arousal, and then blame women for their own shortcomings has often lead to the oppression and persecution of women. This is going on to this very day, expressed through moronic movements like Incels and the so called Manosphere. On a brighter note, the snake is also closely associated with Benzaiten, the goddess of music and the arts.
