2 weeks to find 9 seconds!
Just under 3 years since I last gave it big licks at mid Cheshire 5k, a lots changed since then, I ran a 16:24 and was over the moon, I’ve now sat at 16 dead for far too long!
The science seems to think I’m capable of so much more so let’s go roll the dice and see what numbers we get!
The question is though do I get my haircut, or do I leave it scruffy!!

Really good insight on my lactate threshold and vo2 max this weekend!
Whilst my vo2 wasn’t the best (60.5) but my lactate definitely points towards me sandbagging the 5k, funnily enough 16:08 is classed as my conservative 5k with 15:30 being my optimal so there’s only one things left to do, STOP BEING A BITCH!!

There’s something just disgusting about a 5k, it’s a different type of hell, you step in and you’re there for 5 long kilometres, the finish line feels like it’s never going to come but then at the end the thoughts always come ‘oh I could have pushed here’ or ‘I should have been braver’ either way they hurt!

Decided to have a little bit of a laugh today and threw out a 5th finish and 17 minute parkrun whilst wearing a cheeky £5 charity shop pair of jeans as I don’t actually own a pair!
