Motherhood is a beautiful thing, yet it is one of the most challenging jobs a woman can embark upon.
Black women face many challenges on the path to motherhood and many a time these things are never talked about.
I had a front row seat to see the hard and arduous process from Day 1 to Day 244 of pregnancy and it’s changed my views on women and motherhood forever.

Yes I’m going to spoil you with material things, however, I will enrich you with knowledge and the most important thing to me- MY FAITH!! You will be a great man, not because of me but because of the tribe of men I will trust around you to motivate and break you into a man of greatness. We will give you the rights of passage so in due time you will one day lead the tribe.

Staying true to culture and eating our favorite culture foods is always great however it does have its drawbacks as well.
For African American men who care about legacy and are headed into the unbelievable world of “ middle age”, we have a responsibility to try to stay alive as much as we can so we can properly manage the legacy and hand it down at the right time.
