One of the highest honors of my life was delivering the commencement address to the 2026 Spring graduates at UMES. I tried to be intentional with every word. Wrote… rewrote… reflected… and thought deeply about what I wish I understood after completing something monumental and giving four years of your life to a journey. Thank you to President Anderson, the 300+ graduates, families, and staff for allowing me to share in such a meaningful moment. Truthfully… you all filled my cup. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

Blessed to have the opportunity to share the stage with Bishop Hickman and Senator Hayes and have a real conversation around bridging the gap from East to West Baltimore. Discussing the work happening in real time—housing, green space, education, food insecurity, recreation centers, and the projects where seeds are being planted and where ribbons have been cut. Real investment. Real progress. Real impact. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

One of the highest honors is being recognized by the elders—the shoulders we stand on. Those who understand the weight of the role, the complexity of the work, and what it takes to keep the standard high. Grateful to Senator Young for your voice, your example, and your mentorship. Simply trying to represent the city the right way and lead in a way that honors those who poured into us and opened the door. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

Week 1 — vacant. Week 2 — gutted, cleaned, and first floor joists and flooring installation underway. No distractions. No excuses. Just intentional work. Restoring homes in neighborhoods that have been historically disinvested—expanding affordable homeownership one block at a time. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

Appreciate the opportunity to tap in with Dr. Winkler’s Social Justice class. Real conversation around policy, appropriations, and the work happening in the 45th District to move the needle and close the gap. Doing the work in real time. #IntentionallyFocused #BaltimoreExcellence

Baltimore City Public Schools just celebrated the largest class of youth apprentices yet. Health. Automotive. Trades. Real pathways. Real exposure. This is what it looks like when we invest early and move with intention—preparing our young scholars for opportunity, not just the next step. Grateful for the partners who leaned in to make this real. This is how we strengthen our workforce and build an economy that works for everyone. The earlier the exposure, the stronger the outcome. #IntentionallyFocused #BaltimoreExcellence

Stepped off the stage after celebrating our young people and got poured into. One of our young scholars stopped me, spoke life into the message… then asked if she could pray for me. That’s the reminder. They’re not just listening—they’re leading in their own way. Their empathy. Their creativity. Their curiosity. That’s the future speaking right now. It’s not lost on me, I carry a responsibility to keep pouring into them the same way they pour into us. #IntentionallyFocused #BaltimoreExcellence

Took a stroll over to The Beverly House on Harford Road—a new sit-down wine shop—and had to congratulate Mr. & Mrs. Cole. Packed house. Real walkable neighborhood energy. Moments like this remind me why I do the work—seeing our district move in the right direction and people taking that risk to bet on Baltimore. Please know that you have someone that believes in customer service, quality of life, and is in this for the long term for the city and the people who poured so much into me. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

Earlier this week, we showed the start of the demolition. Now you’re looking at the floors and ceilings removed, with 70% cleared. Next is where the real work begins. We’ve proven this model in the 4x4 with the right partners—creating pathways to affordable homeownership. Now we’re in Darley Park, moving faster and more efficiently to deliver the level of service our neighborhoods deserve. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

Back in Darley Park. Partnering with organizations that understand—taking care of our neighborhoods takes all of us. Government can’t do it alone. It takes real public-private partnerships to move faster and deliver real results. Alleys cleaned. Two roll-off dumpsters filled. Ownership on full display. Appreciate the Sheriff’s Office and every partner stepping up. This is how we remove apathy and build trust back in our neighborhoods. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused

You have to see it to believe it. Work starts this week on Darley Avenue—real time. After years of historic disinvestment that created apathy, we’re increasing affordable homeownership and shifting what people expect from government. From the 4x4 to Darley Park—less talk, more results our neighbors can see and feel. We’re just getting started. #BaltimoreExcellence #IntentionallyFocused
