Saturday, April 25 brings together an extraordinary day of talks, performances, sensory art exhibitions, screen art curated by Projekt Blank and Femmebit, and live A/V sets. Afternoon sessions feature Andrew Thomas Huang, Samantha Gorman, mots, Lachlan Turczan, Tina Tarighian, and more, with the Heavy Manners pop-up bookshop open throughout the day and into the night. As the sun sets, the night belongs to live A/V performances from Daito Manabe, Portrait XO, Geller, Roxanne Harris, and Jona Bechtolt, with cocktails and food trucks along the way.

The conversation centers on questions of AI, intellectual property, and copyright as they affect creative industries, and builds on Mozilla Foundation’s Hollywood’s 8 Rules for AI, a blueprint developed with 91 creatives for redesigning AI deployment around creative leadership.

THE FIRST ANNUAL USC SPORTS LAW WEEK
Join us for the chance to learn more about the intersection between sports and law! Four days of sports law-related events, highlighted by panel events on April 13th and 16th, where students will hear from top industry experts about current issues in the industry, and what the day-to-day looks like for various lawyers across the sports world. Additional activities will be held at the law center on April 14 & 15 (more to come).

April 13th (at USC):
Panel #1 – What’s It Like to Be the Team’s Lawyer? (3:00 - 4:15): A variety of in-house sports lawyers discuss their careers and issues that come up on the job.
Panel #2 –The State of Play in Pro Sports (4:30 - 5:45): Practitioners from professional sports discuss some of the most pressing legal issues in their industry.
April 16th (at CAA, Century City):
Panel #1 - Behind the Deals: An Inside Look at the College Sports Economy (3:00 - 4:15): A frank talk about the ever-changing legal landscape of college sports.
Fireside Chat - Hilary Krane (CAA, former Nike General Counsel) (4:30 - 5:45): A “fireside chat” with CAA general counsel, and former Nike general counsel, Hilary Krane.
CAA Sports Reception (5:45 - 7:00): An informal mingling session with top sports industry and legal professionals.
