Little upgrade for the Anglia this year to go with the fresh motor, sold the precision as was planning to go a lot bigger but with the time crunch to get this motor ready for Street Weekend decided to buy a VS racing, bit bigger than the precision and Double ball bearing so should make a fair bit of difference on the power delivery! Soon be time to test it out on the road and see how it performs. And bigger injectors about to be ordered to have a little play with some e85 š
Monday race days are the one! Great day helping @baxters_garage and @rat329 with @arnsbarn_autos , few issues found and dialled in ready for doorslammers!
Got the bottom end put together last night with fresh block, crank and a full set of @coatedracebearings . Head has had a slight skim to make sure itās all nice and flat so thatās next job on the list. Exciting parcel also on the way which will soon be revealed! Time is ticking for streetweekend!
Spring Matsrui chasingā Was cool to have a few runs up the touge track with @samsheffield66 and @baggsyboyuk All of the JZ sounds š #drift #japspeed #teamjapspeed #matsuri @angleseycircuit
Truck put in some work last night shifting the RS for @linden1010 then over to @robblackk to get the s15 and bringing it back to mine for the night so we didnāt have to load it up this afternoon before we head off to goodwood.

Street weekend 2025!
What a weekend! Firstly, massive thanks to everyone involved in the organising of the event.
Secondly, my drag racing family that never fail to provide a weekend full of laughs!
I asked @baxters_garage if he fancied a weekend off drivers duties and replacing it with sitting in a car which identifies as a sauna and he accepted (not sure if he regretted that decision after 5 minutes into the first leg of the journey!) but thanks for the support and crew duties over the weekend mate!
First day- ran a 11.0 packed up and when everyone else was ready we hit the road. Within half hour we was sat in crawling traffic on the motorway and the car coolant temps reached an excruciating high of 125c before we started moving properly again š¤¦š» however the car still made it to both checkpoints along the route and we got to the air bnb around 11pm and being quickly introduced to some very surprised/slightly angry neighbour š
Day 2- got up early and headed to Melbourne raceway. My aim for the day initially was to nail the tree as there was a prize up for grabs for best reaction time⦠first run 0.08RT and a 7.2 with the car spinning the entire 1st gear. 2nd run 0.05RT better 60ft but didnāt hit 3rd gear annoyingly so submitted the times and hit the road! Car wasnāt as hot this time however it was now using a bit of water š¤¦š» still made it through the checkpoints and back to pod! Then the best news come in that I had received the reaction time prize for that day!
Day 3- crew chief Joe had informed me I was in 2nd place for the H pattern manual class by 0.07 so I needed to get my game face on and run some solid times. First run I lined up against dad, I was on strict instructions to not red light so I let the lights go green and ran a 10.92 which I wasnāt happy with as I knew 1st place had already ran a 10.90 on day1, I ended up running a 10.80 which again wasnāt massively confident with however we kept an eye on the runs throughout the day and I did try a couple more just to try space the gap out a bit more but it just wasnāt happening, however it was just enough and with a tiny margin between 1st,2nd and 3rd!
Double whammy in one weekend š
Congratulations to Tom Semper for claiming the H-Pattern Class Win at Street Weekend 2025 in his 10-second Ford Anglia 100e š
Precision Turbo onboard!! š
FIA Main event with @baxters_garage .
Qualified 3rd with a 7.70@191mph after a few runs and a lot of tappy tappy on the laptop to get her settled down, then it rained, and rained, and rained a little more. Managed to get one round of eliminations in and with the car wanting to break traction 95% of the way down the track, it resulted in a 8.3@156 . Unfortunately the heavens opened again after Joe had been on the laptop again playing Pac-Man so we didnāt get to see what the car done next round. Looking forward to the next event where we will get an even better idea of what the car really wants and start ripping them times down! Massive thanks to Joe for the invite and housing me this weekend in the clubhouse!
