Trip two with @brookienye to Orange County this month, having a best friend that understands your anxiety makes EVERYTHING easier. I hadnāt been down in over 6 months and the longer I wait to go back the harder it is to actually break out of my work routine. I put insane pressure on myself for having an apartment and a car there I wasnāt using and just in general for doing ālifeā. Sunday was probably the worst day Iāve ever had in the water, I just couldnāt do it. Iāve surfed for years but never more than a few times a summer (except for the summer I learned on cape cod) Monday we woke up and Brookeās like āweāre here letās just go paddle around if it sucks we ll eat uncrustables on the beach.ā Monday was SO FUN and we ditched work Tuesday and stayed another day. The anxiety thing is so weird to me. A constant struggle my entire life but definitely getting worse the older I get. I can say that having good friends around to help break you out of it makes everything a little easier. My goal has always been to fly down every week and split my time between Dana point and SLC, I was so hyped at how many friends wanted to come down and learn to surf when I posted these photos the other day. (huge anxiety loophole for me having someone else there) and for the 3 people I know in OC reaching out hyped I was thereā¦ You guys really are the best. I can say with absolute certainty when you feel really pulled to do something, but you have that anxiety and fear. 99/100 times if you just push through not only are you proud of yourself, youāre also happier, less anxious and if you do it enough you may even be excited about going back and doing it again. š«¶š»

Been going 24/7 on the car business and forgot how fun taking photos of your friends can be. @teryn.a.e stopped by to say hi earlier so we jumped in the studio and snapped a few. š«¶š»
Kitten season incoming. If any of my friends want to try fostering or want to come help/hang with foster kitties our door is always open. I know youāve heard it before but seriously spay and neuter your pets. (We have low cost options available) Cats will go full game of thrones and get their siblings preggers like 4-5 times a year. They multiply like a wet gremlin (80s joke just Google it) Weāll always have kitties for adoption with initial shots and spay/neuter already done and no adoption fees. Just our way of keeping these little rascals out of the shelters. š«¶š»

Sold one of these Vw rabbits so I could move to salt lake in 2002. When I was 15 this was my dream car. A dozen Lamborghinis later, mclarens, porsches, couple Ferrarisā¦ and yet I always come back to the one that started it. The Vw scene in southeastern mass where I grew up was insane. Sorting the wheels on this last night reminded me Iām still just a big kid playing with cars. Iāll admit, having a warehouse to work in is a little nicer than my parents driveway. Best part about it is for under 10k you can get a really cool Vw with a motor swap on marketplace. If youāve never been in one, I have a few im working on and sharing the passion I have for these is one of my favorite things to do.
