For the second part of the event series « Stories of Hospitality - FLINTA chefs and their stories » Berlin gastrobar « van Hofen » invites Selin Cetin, Berlin-based chef and culinary researcher, who aims to bring the authentic flavours of Turkey onto Berlin´s tables. This time, Selin´s menu is based on the concept of « altın günü » - a Turkish tradition, in which women gather to chat and share homemade bites and drinks. Honouring this tradition, the table will be filled with delights, sweet and savoury - made with the ingredients of the Anatolian pantry such as yufka pastry, yoghurt, pomegranate and of course tons of fresh herbs. Inspired by culinary and cultural custom surrounding the Newroz festival, widely celebreated throughout the eastern Mediterranean and Central Asia, culinary studio duo @__tabure__ invites you on the 27th of March to Neukölln gastrobar and innovation and community hub @vanhofen to an evening of food and immersion, fusing a menu of plant based delights based on traditional Anatolian cusine with a intricately designed visual experience. The bar offers unique cocktail pairings. And, as a final note from the @_tabure_ founders: „Since we’re holding the event to welcome spring during this period, all we can say is, may the Newroz fire surround everywhere, and may there be free springs. Newroz piroz be!“
