SOTD: Beaufort London Coeur De Noir
An oil lantern, dark smoke, black ink on rugged paper. This scent really encompasses journaling and the art of narrating to yourself. A practice that brings me focus on determination.
Powerful, edgy, long lasting and, most importantly, incredibly poetic.
Landmines.
Green settles slowly across the ground and climbs back into the trees, resting on moss, damp earth, and the quiet traces of last season. The paths move gently through it all, never insisting, just guiding, curving between trunks and shadow. Everything feels grounded, how much I missed this!
SOTD: Parfums d’Empire Eau de Gloire
Corticchiato has a way of painting with scents which always surprises me. This is very much designed as a perfume but, at the same time, the delicate palette perfectly depicts a quiet spring scene. PdE never disappoints.
Keeping low.
The evening stretches gently across the mountains, light blooming, softening every edge.
Shapes dissolve, the landscape turning weightless. The sun lingers longer than expected; a soft solstice approach.
SOTD: Liquides Imaginaires Sancti
One of the most beautiful and wearable light incense scents around. The combination of sparkling citruses, green woods and hazy smoke makes for such a serene, grounding experience. Very apparent when worn, never intrusive.
Frictionless.
With the days getting longer and warmer, the evening hikes are back. A fragrance and quiet walk along the river, one of the best way to unwind and relax. The silence of the town soothing the senses.
SOTD: Meo Fusciuni Odor 93
A really thick, dark tuberose scent which is surprisingly masculine. The furry texture of the petals is broken up by a slightly medicinal tobacco, bringing edge to the composition.
An intense narcotic fragrance to lead you into darkness.
Moths and moon flowers.
A much needed spring day spent biking!
The valley is on its way to peak bloom, soon a carpet of flowers will be covering every hill.

Got this very recently, another lucky pickup from my local marketplace. This came at the right time, the fresh eucalyptus notes echo the green of scenery perfectly.
An easy serene, calming scent, an ideal companion for a chill weekend.
Sunlight and mint tea.
Remnants of cold air fusing with the spring sunlight, visions of lush forests waking up from their long slumber, creatures of the undergrowth coming alive.
I’m so happy to be out exploring again.

Just got this in! It’s the PERFECT scent for this season: green, fresh, crisp and with the distinct artisinal depth that the brand is known for. I’m stunned awake, I feeling like going deeper into the land of glaciers.

I have to admit, it goes a little culinary on my skin but the warmth it provides is spectacular. My bottle must be an older one as the lavender is not as present as I remember it being.

The last leg of winter has been a real chore but, somehow, I feel I’m over the curb, I’ve embraced it as it is, patiently waiting.
SOTD: Amouage Myths Man
This fragrance is one of my favorites that I struggle to wear. This scent makes me melancholic, it makes me think and an overall emotional ride; what an incredible creation, top to bottom, left to right. I can see what it was discontinued but also why it’s so revered.

Sadly, this journey in beautiful Oman is at its end. I’m overwhelmed by what I took in and can’t wait to share some thoughts in a video.
All I can say is: if you have not visited, I HIGHLY recommend it, the landscape is gorgeous, the culture deep and the people absolutely wonderful.

Wow, never heard of this Omani brand and had to buy two! This smells like my evenings in Oman, desert wind, starry skies and warm welcomes. I only put in one wear but the performance seems awesome.
Sky wonder.
Heritage and tradition against innovation and modernity. The architecture of Oman is amazing, no matter the style, it manages to blend into the desert light and feel right at place.
I’ll be leaving this glorious country in a couple days, I’m already missing it and its warmth.
SOTD: Amouage Luban Al Akhdar
This attar is also a dichotomy of heritage and innovation: on one side you have a scent based on simple green frankincense, concentrated into a traditional oil; on the other, you have a modern build that optimizes wear experience, transition and performance.
This is the only frag I brought with me from home, it was worth it.
Mercilessly bleached.
Morning unfolds in the mountains.
Light traces the ridges slowly, shadows carving depth into stone that feels older than memory. The landscape stretches beyond scale, shape after shape dissolving into distance. Silence carries weight here.
SOTD: Amouage Oud Al Masarat
The sublime, the awe before infinite depth. This oud attar does that, it has a presence and gravity which is second to none.
Very expensive, unreasonably so. I had to get it before leaving.
Beyond measure.
Evening in the desert dunes south of Sur. Absolute wow! The colors, the textures, the warm dry wind and even the dune bashing in a souped up Nissan Patrol. Perfect close to a fantastic day.

Another WOW! This smells exactly like what the amazing smelling people in Muscat wear, leaving insane scent trails everywhere.
Fruity and oudy, insanely powerful and smooth. I absolutely love it.
