SEIU California has officially joined the effort to endorse the No Taxpayer Dollars for Family Separation Act (AB 2465) — bringing together the voices of more than 750,000 long-term care workers, state employees, service workers, and healthcare workers across our state. This bill, Repealing the Water’s Edge Election Tax Avoidance Scheme, closes a shady corporate loophole. Next stop for AB 1790: Assembly Appropriations Committee. Momentum is building, and we can’t stop now. Why this matters: - Corporations are hiding profits offshore, losing California an estimated $3–4 billion every year. - That lost revenue threatens real people’s meals, medicine, and roofs.
