The pandemic has upended all of the foundations of the music scene: no events, no concerts, no public. But all of us have kept on working and planning.
We need new ideas, new ways to express and support ourselves: A Pandemic Rave is our proposal.
We are creating a documentary that illustrates the various realities that make up the electronic scene in Milan, their relationship with the city, and the possible post-Covid scenarios. Through interviews with its protagonists, we offer our thoughts on the meaning and value of the independent scene in our city.
However, there's another language we cannot do without: music. The artists interviewed will hold a 12h long collective performance, recorded behind closed doors at Macao, a center for arts, culture, and research. The performance will be streamed online.
The documentary is planned for release in September, but we need your help to make it happen. The revenue from this crowdfunding will be used to cover production expenses and refund the realities that take part in the exhibition.
