My new album for the ambient heads out now At the end of Dennis - which tells the story of one full day- there is a sleep. This album is a continuation of that same rest. I’ve spent the last 6 years just trying to make as much music as possible and still half of that is yet to come but this for now serves as the only way I know how to ‘slow down’ .. by essentially making the same amount of music but some of its ambient. I loved making this album, ambient music is where i find myself shaking my ass too the most, you won’t catch me doing that in the clurb. Spoke about how to create symbolism beyond just lyrics and track titles in music on last nights class, giving this example of making responses from friends who have passed away actually disappear depending on what sound system you listen on, and how to make an ambient song about sleep - actually sonically represent the stages of sleep - amongst many other things. The music video for Noon is out now. @kissfacility 🎧 making this beat felt like magic. One of those ones where the whole thing just forms within like 15 minutes. The chop is a voice note mayah had on her phone for months and the chord progression came from trying to find the notes that would work with the chopped vocal, slowly sliding down every note in the scale and then that felt like all it needed to be.
