Why “Seemingly Ordinary”? A few years ago, a dear friend gave me a camera. At the time, it felt like a thoughtful gift. After she passed, I started reaching for it again, without fully knowing why. I think I just hoped it might help me move through the grief. And slowly, it did. I began noticing things I hadn’t before. The way light moved across the wall. The calm in a quiet room. The way a space can hold feeling. That experience changed how I see the world. It reminded me that beauty is often subtle. It’s not always loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s tucked into the smallest, softest spaces. And when you notice it, even just for a moment, it can bring you back to yourself. That’s what led me to start Seemingly Ordinary. A studio built to honor the quiet beauty of moments often overlooked. Thanks for being here. I’ve found that having a strong “why” behind what I do helps ground me on the days where my conviction to keep going feels a little rocky. For me, it’s capturing the quiet, often overlooked moments that make a place or a life feel meaningful, so that people can see the beauty in their own lives, and so that brands and spaces can be felt, not just seen. Featuring some photos I captured for El Churro in the fall! . . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

I think the moments that catch my attention most are usually the quieter ones. A game of chess left mid-play, wine slowly sipped, staying in bed a little longer just watching the day go by. Nothing overly grand, just small moments that make a place feel lived in and meaningful. . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

While at Arizona Grand last fall, I ended up waking up earlier than I needed to just to walk around for a bit. The light was hitting everything so softly, and it felt like I had the whole place to myself. . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

My favorite days shooting are the ones that feel a little more led by exploration. I go into them with a few rough ideas, but a lot of it comes together as I go! This one felt especially special because it’s with a client I get to work with often, so there’s a bit more ease to it. And honestly, I think that’s where the best ideas come from! . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

I feel really grateful for the opportunity to share a piece of my story, but also just for the way the Lord has taken something so personal and turned it into something that can encourage others… what a gift!! . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

It often feels as though every day is a fresh reminder of all the beauty in the seemingly ordinary, because it can be that simple to forget. 💛 . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing

I stumbled upon The Vinoy and I’m so glad I did. I was driving by and made a full detour just to park, walk around, and capture it! I mean look at it….🤩 . . . #seeminglyordinary #theartofnoticing
