This March, I had the chance to return to Phnom Penh after many years. Among all the great memories from the trip, one of the most impressive experiences was exploring the city’s distillery scene.
What makes things different here from many other cities in Asia is the diversity of stories behind each place, each bottle… from experienced Western founders bringing global craftsmanship into Cambodia, to highly successful and inspiring local entrepreneurs redefining the industry, and even home to Asia’s first distillery behind a World’s Best Gin title.
We left deeply impressed, and here are some distilleries you should absolutely check out when visiting Phnom Penh.
