What if we could re-imagine a world of

for planet, ecosystems, people, and artists?
Let’s break it down:
#NFTs stand for non-fungible tokens. a non-fungible asset is one that is irreplaceable, or unique. Tokens are assets represented on a blockchain. Bitcoin is a token, so are Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies name alt coins. They are all assets on a blockchain. What’s the point of putting them on the blockchain? Putting assets (or tokens) on a blockchain increases security and transparency. Beyond crypto, tokenizing assets can also be used to create financial identity, solving the problem of the unbanked, and in trade financing.
NFTs cannot be replaced. They are unique. One only person can own them. But this one person can sell the NFT to another person. Think of the NFT like a collectible. Like a grand old painting hanging in the Louvre, or a bottle of wine from Cote de Nuits, or a Flamandia digital cat from CryptoKitties, NFTs are collectibles.
Now, we move to DAOs. A #DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that works toward a specific function. DAOs were created to be autonomous organisations providing governance. These were originally created on open-source code or computer programs. Eventually, DAOs evolved where both the members and the code provide governance. A DAO is created on a blockchain network, like the Ethereum blockchain.
DAOs have no hierarchy. There is no executive board with presidents and vice presidents. Decision-making is not top-down but based on a bottom-up community. This consensus is achieved through voting. Similar to voting at a company level, voting in DAOs is based on ownership of assets. In DAOs, the assets are tokens. This is where digital assets come in.
Cryptocurrencies or digital assets are used to maintain a DAO’s decentralized nature and governance. Every major decision in the DAO is taken through a vote. Members vote based on the tokens they hold. #Tokens are distributed through a treasury.

Animals and plants have played important roles in the oral traditions and the recorded myths of the peoples of the world, both ancient and modern. Although the some may believe this is a belief of the past, it is still important today to remember to integrate this perspective. This is important from an environment conservation point in the way we relate to our environment and connect. Without this, we would only relate on a mental-level and may not actually be in tune with the rhythms and consciousness of a plant or animal. This is *key being a steward of the Earth as sentient beings.

Cycles mean that there is a constant and ongoing exchange of elements between air, earth, water, plants and animals. The cycles underpin the ability for all living things to continue to thrive and develop.

Indigenous Peoples help protect our environment, fight climate change, and build resilience to natural disasters, yet their rights aren’t always protected.
While #IndigenousPeoples own, occupy, or use a quarter of the world’s surface area, they safeguard 80% of the world’s remaining biodiversity.
Over 20% of the world’s tropical forest carbon is stored in Indigenous People’s territories in the Amazon Basin, Mesoamerica, the DRC, and Indonesia.
However, only a fraction of indigenous lands are officially recognized by states.
The year of 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
It reminds us just how big the challenge remains – to secure Indigenous Peoples’ basic rights and make sure they’re included in the development process, so they have the opportunity to live safer, healthier, and more prosperous lives.

Rather than perceiving the #earth as an inanimate, non-living object, the earth is actually a living system.
Our planet has a form of self-regulation, otherwise known as homeostasis. Life-sustaining attributes, such as temperature, atmospheric oxygen content, and ocean salinity, have all been maintained with remarkably little variability.
Earth itself and life on Earth have evolved together over time in such a way that each has affected the other every step of the way. Rather than life on Earth simply reacting to the environment, life on Earth also affects and changes the environment around it.
Furthermore, all of those attributes depend in many ways on living things to sustain them. Viewed in this way, Earth can be seen as a huge, complex system in which the environment and living things interact constantly to form a self-regulating whole. While still not a living organism like a plant, animal, or human being, Earth can nonetheless be seen as a living system that behaves in significant ways like a living organism.
Treat nature and earth like it is sentient.

Dear lungs of the earth,
We as the human species apologize for our unconscious, short-term gain actions over the course of so many generations before us in the modern world. I stand before you humbled by the important role you play on this planet and expression of the universe itself.
I will do better to honor the wisdom keepers and stewards of the earth; I will listen at greater depth to the rhythms and energies that the earth and elements provide; and I will answer the call of unification through emergent strategy, forgiveness, love, mental fortitude, and strength so that your existence and our future generations to come may remember what is most precious and necessary in this life.
What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another. I will remember to dream, I will remember to be kind to myself, and I will remember to be kind to others, and I will remember to give gratitude and reciprocity back to the earth.
