SED’S VORTEX

2025, what a year of becoming 🖤 I released my debut EP, “ORIGIN STORY,” which was a huge milestone in my career. I truly came into my own as an artist & started to really dig into world building. These 5 tracks mimic my experiences told through sound & atmospheres & I’m so happy that “ORIGIN STORY” resonates with so many of you. I played direct support for LEVEL UP & ZEKE BEATS & got to perform at The Marquee Theatre for the first time! I used to go to so many concerts at that venue growing up, so playing it felt surreal. This was also the first time I played & sang “ORIGIN STORY” live 🥹 I released a banger of a song called “Look What You’ve Done” with Echo Drone, which was featured on his debut album, “Project Blue Beam.” Then, our track charted at #61 on Hypeddit, which is so rad because this song in particular means a lot to me. I had the privilege of being interviewed as a guest artist by RDY VIP, continuing to grow my voice not just behind the decks but in the studio as well. This interview allowed me to share more about myself & expand on the concepts in depth behind the songwriting of my EP. On a personal level, I got married to my best friend & we somehow turned our wedding into a mini festival where we threw a surprise B2B for our reception! This was one of my favorite sets ever & we did end up releasing it on SoundCloud for everyone to enjoy as “WEDFEST 2025” 🤍 I then had the absolute honor of collaborating on 5 songs with PRETTYHARD for his debut album, “CASTLERAVE.” These tracks were some of the funnest songs ever to work on & being able to witness firsthand the dedication, vision & resilience it took to bring that project to life was something I’ll always remember. 2025 challenged me to grow creatively, professionally & personally. I became more confident as a producer, more intentional with my releases & more trusting of my own process. Every win came with lessons & every lesson has pushed me forward. To my fans, my TRIBE, my supporters, thank you for listening, sharing, showing up & believing in me every step of the way. I truly would not be here without you! I just took a LEAP 🪽 “THE LEAP” is the fifth and final song off of my EP, “ORIGIN STORY,” & this song was written during a very crucial time in my life. “THE LEAP” was actually written back in 2020 during the pandemic when I was contemplating if I wanted to continue to work as a studio engineer for other artists or if I wanted to take the leap & pursue the artist path for myself. Even though I loved studio engineering, I wasn’t experiencing true fulfillment from it, & I always wondered what it would be like to put all of my energy, time, and technical skills into making my own music. In a way, the pandemic opened this door for me to truly go for it, like I had nothing to lose. It allowed me to have the time for deep introspection, to really look at my life and see where I was left feeling empty, & it truly allowed me to have the space from society I needed to reconnect with my inner child. That’s when I first started to produce electronic music while teaching myself how to DJ. Fun Fact: my partner and I spent both of our stimulus checks on a brand new pair of CDJ’s & said there’s no turning back - we’re really doing this! Now looking back, I’m so glad we did. Fast forward 5 years later, and I’m now able to tell the story of what lead me to fully commit the SED’S VORTEX project through a 5 track, free flowing, all original EP 🌀🌲📖🕯️🗝️💫
