Insight on how I’m feeling at the moment with my small business 🌸
Starting this journey felt and sometimes still feels a little scary, especially when you’re learning everything as you go and investing your money into something you’re not entirely sure how will turn out.
One thing I’ve really struggled with is trying to be creative with ads and marketing, constantly feeling like I needed to keep up with what everyone else was doing online.
But something I think we’ve forgotten is just how powerful word of mouth really is. Genuine people sharing something they love will always mean more than any ad ever could.
Seda has been built around exactly that. Friends telling friends, women supporting women, customers coming back to repurchase and sharing the brand with the people around them. I honestly can’t believe how strong the Noosa community is when it comes to supporting small businesses.
This brand has grown because of all of you and I’ll never stop being grateful for that. Thank you for backing Seda, sharing it, wearing it and believing in it 🧡🌸

🌺 Getting to know me 🌺
Hi, I’m Roberta - founder of Seda & Co 🌷
I grew up in South Africa, New Zealand and Noosa, Australia.
These three places taught me the value of nature, community and intentional living, allowing me to be my most authentic self.
Noosa, where I now call home, is where life feels a little saltier, slower and surrounded by beauty.
The ocean, the bush, and the earthy colours of the land have deeply shaped who I am and how I create.
Each piece is thoughtfully handmade by me, using carefully sourced materials that are sustainable, eco-conscious and kind to our Earth.
Choosing to put the planet first means slower processes (handmade by me), tighter margins (higher material costs and competing with brands that don’t prioritise quality) and a lot more effort but it’s a decision I’m proud of and one I stand by wholeheartedly.
I didn’t start Seda to follow trends or keep up with fast fashion. I started it because I wanted to make things slowly, with care - pieces that feel intentional, considered and connected to nature.
I hope every scrunchie you wear is a soft, simple reminder that beauty can be kind and that the way we create and consume can hold meaning.
Thank you for supporting my small business - it truly means the world 🧡
maple leaf may be sold out (for now), but these beauties are back in stock 🍂🍁
Message me if you’d like to pre-order and I’ll get onto it for you 🤍
