My mother took a bunch of pictures of me and my sister as kids. I’m really grateful that that was the case. She was always present and attentive, still is to this day. My grandmother was the same way. I truly had the best of both worlds.

A year ago today, I dropped one of my favorite songs in my discography!!! @mic.lee sent this crazy pack and as soon as I heard this it was over. I sat with this beat for days before I actually wrote anything cause I knew how special this could be. That first verse is like gold, probably one of my best. So much to say about this event:
First off, I’m extremely grateful to everyone who came out to this listening event. To have all these people in one room (a hot one at that), communing over what I feel is my life’s purpose, is a feeling I can’t describe. Writing these blogs has been really cathartic for me. Especially this last one. My birthday’s coming up and I’ve come to not really enjoy it all that much. But putting pen to paper about it (metaphorically cause I be typin fr) was actually really nice.
But I’m really looking forward to Friday though. If you’re in NYC, you should pull up and hear this new music. I’m biased, but it’s special.

I love making music with every fiber of my being. I don’t think that’s always been super clear though.
Naturally I’m super shy, and in most cases, would rather listen than speak. That’s lead to me not being as loud as I should be when it comes to how good my music is. I get into all that in today’s blog ✍🏾
