We say this with a heavy heart. Fadilla, one of our legendary SS family members of 17 years, passed away last night from natural causes at the age of 41.
For nearly two decades, he was part of the heartbeat of this place — getting us all into so many barrels, arriving early for dawn patrols, and greeting everyone with his warm smile and chilled vibe. Nicknamed “James Franco” by our crews for his striking resemblance, Fadilla was a bright soul who touched so many people over the years.
It’s been a hard day for all of us. Walking up the driveway today without Fadilla grinning back at us just didn’t feel right. We have truly lost one of our own — someone who can never be replaced.
Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Anita, his three children, his mother, and his siblings. We can’t imagine what you are going through. There were tears shed here today by all of us at SS, because we loved him deeply and he was family to us all.
To the family, we are here for you whenever you need us, and we will move forward together when the time comes. You are not alone.
