Special Agent in Charge Michael Rice was a Vietnam War veteran, a 9/11 recovery volunteer and had a 26-year Secret Service career. He embodied the quiet professionalism and selfless service this agency was built on. His name is now permanently inscribed on the Secret Service Wall of Honor and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
We are grateful for his service. We will not forget him.

The Secret Service will add the name of former Special Agent in Charge Michael Rice to its Wall of Honor this week.
SAIC Rice passed away in 2019 from cancer linked to his work at the Fresh Kills New York landfill site following the September 11 attacks. He will be the 41st employee added to the Wall, and his name will also be inscribed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
