Every Friday in October we have partnered with @thebagsquamish and @sunadanaturalperformance to create a rad community event here in Squamish.

Secret Sauna has gone international.

The traditional Japanese method of preserving wood by charring it with fire is called Yakisugi (焼き杉, literally "burnt cedar"). It is widely known in the West as Shou Sugi Ban (or Shou-sugi-ban).
We had a lot of fun putting this together.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the wonderful community that we know as the sauna culture here in North America. So many fond memories, löyly, and community from this past weekend was cemented into our lives and heart over here at Secret Sauna Co.

Another Secret Sauna in Smithers, BC. This beautiful wood fired S4 model hides on the edge of a quiet forest nestled and ready for löyly. The secrets out.
The Luppino brothers may be known for their Zoolander level modeling skills but may have to put that career aside because sauna building seems to be in their blood.
