In the work “La Rejée”, I used extensively the comic elements which can well tell the meta-text of the time traveler in Chris Mark‘s classic film “La jetée“. In addition, the three-dimensional model composed of six different types of prints, including copper plate, silk screen, water-print, woodcut, rubbing, and lithography, is added to AR, so that the audiences are encouraged to rotate the model during the game, and are invited to experience the vertigo of intertwined time and space. This is only a work for study. Thanks Chris.

缀段耳语Episodic Murmuring Artist: @second_wei 📢Opening Time: November 16th at 3:00 PMArtist & Curator Tour at 3:30 PM 📅Duration: Accessible between 11:00 ——19:00 (closed on Monday)7 NOV.-14 JAN.2024 📍地址Adress: 北京市朝阳区798艺术区陶瓷一街中段龟力空间 Stasis Space, Taociyi St, 798 Art Zone, Chaoyang District, Beijing Episodic Murmuring is an interactive narrative work that spans images and text, encompassing elements of a game, image archive, and interactive novel. In Episodic Murmuring, images are not merely an aid to the narrative but serve as “fragments” with their own independent narrative logic. These images—sourced from strangers’ photo albums, family photos, or recreated “archival photographs”—are meticulously cataloged and organized, forming a seemingly rigorous archive. On a fictional map, geographic spaces and personal memories intersect. Episodic Murmuring seeks to capture the ambiance of the Southwest region of China through images, archives, and nonlinear storytelling. By weaving together folk tales and reinterpretations of grand narratives, it constructs a personal place-based chronicle imbued with a deeply personal perspective. 王一玮 Wang Yiwei @second_wei Born in 1999 in Suining, Sichuan, Wang Yiwei is a visual researcher who graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Picture Book Studio at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and later earned a master’s degree from CAFA’s Printmaking Department. Her work draws inspiration from urban spaces, local memories, and everyday experiences. Through diverse media such as games, printmaking, and rubbings, Wang explores the complex interplay between individuals and society. She is also deeply engaged in participatory art practices. As one of her key methods, workshops extend her focus on memory, locality, and interpersonal connections. Wang’s workshop practices seek to break the linearity of historical narratives, reconnecting individual life paths with urban spaces to create dynamic, emotionally resonant networks of memory.

This is a documentary zine made by 23 friends through a “co-translation + co-reading” workshop. Starting from artist Liv Strömquist’s The Fruit of Knowledge, we bring the histories and misunderstandings around the vulva, clitoris, menstruation, and lived bodily experience back into open conversation. In the workshop, each participant claimed a few pages of the English text to translate and cross-edit. We also did a few simple “body-feeling” exercises and a small print-making session. The zine preserves the questions, disagreements, and moments of laughter that surfaced while reading; it includes participants’ prints, handwritten notes, field reflections by Yiwei Wang (who initiated the project), and a QR code to download the print—inviting you to keep creating and sharing. This is not a book of answers; it is an attempt to reclaim the power to name—and to show what participatory art can do. Non-profit: all proceeds will be donated to the queer collective Piáo Piāo and to gender-education organizations. 🔴Initiated by: @second_wei 🔴Binding: Saddle-stitched with loop staples (Omega staples) 🔴Published by:Stasis space 🔴English type design: @notyourtypefoundry @sdfggvfvj #zine #queerart #queer #queerzines #queerzine #stasisspace

👩‍🎨Collaborative Printmaking Workshop: Transforming Baguette Bags into Vases! Led by: Yiwei WANG @second_wei Date & Time: 7th July 19:45 Location: 8lithèque八梨空间 Languages: Mandarin / English Participants: 6–8 pers Registration: Sign up via 8litheque.com (link in bio) or contact our WeChat (ID: Paris8litheque) Fee: €28 per person (20% off for members) All materials, a set drink, and snacks are included. ⚠️ All you need to bring is a few baguette bags and one spoon. In this workshop, we’ll be making paper bag vases together—say goodbye to ugly flower arrangements! Bring along the paper bags from your finished baguette, and take home collaborative vase creations and a new skill in relief printmaking. Printmaking differs from painting in two main ways: indirectness and reproducibility. Carving with a knife instead of drawing with a brush gives the image a unique texture, distinct from direct drawing. And thanks to the ability to reproduce prints, a single design can be printed multiple times. These two qualities give hand-printing a renewed humanistic value in the digital printing age—it builds connections. In this activity, we’ll be creating one type of printmaking—relief printing. Over the course of a few hours, each participant will create either the top or bottom half of a vase, carve it, print it, and end up with several richly textured pieces. This event is beginner-friendly.
