So The Sun Can Pour by Hayden Everett is out in the world today ☼ True to form this album took its time to grow, with songs born during Hayden’s summer working in Glacier National Park, beginning recording at our own Wasatch Studios and then up to Hayden’s family cabin in Tahoe, finishing over the following months back at our place, Hayden’s home studio up in Seattle and even making a brief visit in Portland. I can feel all the green on these songs now, gathering moss as they made their journey up and down the coast and finally to your ears. It was an honor to produce for and with such a sweet and genuine soul, and what a privilege to spend so much time with all the wonderful musicians who came along for the ride and helped make it happen - especially the core crew ❂

11.22 — quietly put out a record last month, and excited to belatedly share in honor of today’s date. “ones & twos” is a collection of instrumental sketches from the past year that I decided to release as my first solo project after a long time working on the music of friends & family. i would describe the result as a collection of textures & sounds that caught my ear — many were the result of exploration with equipment new & mostly old — sewn together to form a quilt that could be heard from one end to the other. grateful for everyone who listened to the different versions of what the project eventually became (working title “little bits”) & encouraged me to release it along the way. i’ve really cherished sharing in pieces with friends so far & hope that now it can find its way to more ears that might enjoy it.
wishing the happiest of birthdays to my sweetiee @saracaz_ !! 🥳 we’ve had a very full year of grad school, work, new puppy and ofc the dodgers being back in the postseason 💫
