My year as a young fashion designer from Germany.
Partially employed, fully committed to learning, refining, becoming.
The following year I want to shift my focus toward smarter planning, deeper presence in relationships, and a more intentional, interdisciplinary practice.
Thank you to everyone who crossed paths with me — old friends, new connections.
If you feel aligned, my door is open. Let’s build and create together in 2026. 🤍
Some journeys are about distance. Others are about perspective. This one was both.
Grateful for the recognition @tisdc.tw

BORDERLAND
The character „Digital Native“ has access to the internet since his birth. Early on he could witness Animals, different states of nature, contrasting plants through his screen. Images are changing, while all these impressions seem to not be able to be processed. „Digital Native“ reacts to this with continuous grey.
Only thing visible through the seemingly ambiguous silhouette and multiple phone screens is a grey sweatsuit.
„Digital Native“ is representing the norm, which cannot accept or process a lot of differentness/ diversity. He is not realizing in which diverse environment with products from every continent accessible to us he is already surrounded by.

In ethnology, the „Borderland“ is a place where identity is located on zhe intersection between cultures. The collection creates an interpretation of this „Borderland“ in which each individual can pursue their personal development and combine seemingly contradictory aspects of their person. I-DENTITY examines experiences of marginalization in Western society. It asks questions about cultural belonging and explores experiences associated with the feeling of being different.

BORDERLAND
The character „S€x Siren“ visualizes the multiplicity of identities in one person and showcases many stereotypes queer people experience. Key elements are devil‘s horns, symbolizing the saying „you guys belong to hell“. The bondage inspired accessories lean into the fetishization that queer and trans people experience.
Sex siren in itself is the mermaid hybrid, half human, half fish. she represents trans women and queer people, who are still marginalized in today‘s society.
Inspired by disney villains who are often inspired by drag queens, Sex Siren incorporates many microaggressions, and examines these.

BORDERLAND
The character „Hijab-Barbie“ is a hybrid intersection between a believing muslim, and the attributes of a western barbie.
Two ideas of femininity are explored and merged, to show that both are valid. It explains that a combination of both aspects is possible, and that those people can exist.
It was important for me to represent the muslim code and still show Western, barbie-esque aspects, so a muslim could wear it and Barbie would wear it.
The skirt is formed out of dyed and repurposed doctor‘s coats, to illustrate the struggle of hijabis in the workplace environment.
Many Hijabis can‘t be civil servants (eg. in school) or are disadvantaged because of their headscarf.
This is why I linked the image of a Hijabi with the image of Barbie, because Barbie is a symbol that emancipates women to take any job they want.
This is also what I wish for every headscarf wearing person.
