I bless and give thanks for the mothers in my life.
Today I celebrate and honor the world’s mothers. First, of course, is the mother who nurtured and guided me to be the person I am through her love and example. I also bless those who have shown me a mother’s love throughout my life. These special ones may be grandmothers, aunts, or other family members. Perhaps a neighbor or teacher took me under their wing, offering me support and encouragement for them all.
On Mother’s Day, I bless the mothers and mother figures in my life with thoughts of gratitude and love. I hold these dear ones gently in prayer, affirming they know the tender, nurturing love of God as they have so selflessly share it with me.

Unity is founded on prayer and meditation. If you have been curious about Unity’s approach to prayer, wanting to deepen your own prayer life, and connect with others in your Seattle Unity community, consider joining the Heart of Prayer class series.
If you have been considering membership, this does serve as a membership class, although it is not necessary for you to become a member. While the focus is on prayer and meditation, we will be reviewing all five of Unity’s core principles.

Longtime member and local treasure Andrea Cariño leads this Sound Meditation. Andrea is a skilled and trained musician, a frequent Sunday service team singer and multi-instrumentalist, as well as a practitioner of many sound healing modalities.
We invite you to leave behind the stress and busyness of daily life and immerse in the soothing sonic atmosphere. Instruments may range from Tibetan and crystal bowls, to drums, chimes, gongs, rain sticks, flute and much more.
Our meditation hall has plenty of comfy chairs, but if you prefer to sit or recline on the floor, you’re also welcome to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, etc.
