The Play That Goes Wrong isn’t calling it curtains just yet! Announced yesterday from the stage by Seattle Rep’s Artistic Director Dámaso Rodríguez, #ThePlayThatGoesWrongSREP will be back in Summer 2026—and that’s no joke! 🙌   All kidding aside, we are so grateful to our Seattle audiences for embracing this lovable comedy. And hopefully, the Cornley Drama Society will FINALLY get it right by the time they return this summer—after all, we believe in second chances.😉💕   Stay tuned for updates on when tickets will go on sale for the remount of #ThePlayThatGoesWrongSREP, and be the first to know by signing up for our e-newsletter.

Seattle’s favorite theatrical disaster is back. The Play That Goes Wrong returns to Seattle Rep by popular demand after a sold-out runs in Portland—serving up collapsing sets, perfectly timed chaos, and big laughs. With jaw-dropping stage magic and nonstop mishaps, this is the perfect all-ages night out—don’t miss these hysterical hijinks, whether it’s your first or fifth time. The Seattle Times says “run, don’t walk” to catch this comedy favorite—starting June 11 and running for a limited time!

What an incredible GiveBIG. 💫 We raised $52,148 all because a community of people came together and said YES to live theater. Every donation, share, message, and word of encouragement helped make something amazing possible. Thank you for believing in this work, in artists, and in the power of gathering together through storytelling. We truly could not do this without you!

There’s a strange feeling that comes with the end of a story like this one—this play asked a lot of everyone involved, and this company gave us even more in return. Its time to leave the Lafayette family behind, but we’re ending on a high note, completely blown away by all the talented artists who brought this story to life. #Closing #AppropriateSREP 🪲 🏡

Step inside the hauntingly immersive world of #AppropriateSREP. 🪲   Designed by the brilliant Carey Wong, this massive set uses forced perspective, custom-built angles, and a dramatic rake to create a space that feels grandiose and yet deeply unsettling.   From the audience’s view, the actors appear almost like “little bugs trapped in a huge glass jar”—small inside a looming, unbalanced world. With every detail carefully crafted to guide the eye, the set itself becomes part of the storytelling: disorienting and impossible to ignore.   Check out this set tour with Stage Management Apprentice Annabelle Iredale, and don’t miss the final performances of #AppropriateSREP. Must close this Sunday, May 10!

Throwing it back to when we first sat down with Timothy McCuen Piggee to talk about his process for directing #AppropriateSREP—now heading into its final weekend. The Sound on Stage notes Piggee’s remarkable consistency and range in Seattle theatre, writing, “It’s a level of control and confidence that pushes this production beyond even his already high standard.” And as they put it, this is a “production that doesn’t just succeed—it soars.” Appropriate MUST CLOSE May 10. Don't miss the revelations, the drama, and everything in-between. Full review in the link in bio!🏡 🎥: Seth Halleran
