Over 500 attendees flooded into McCaw Hall at @seattlecenter last month for the 2025 Creative Economy Career Day, a free, annual, one-day educational program hosted by us and our friends, @seattleeconomy . This crew absolutely crushed the @seattle_creates session producing a live fashion photoshoot demo executed in front of a live audience of high school students as part of @seattlececd #creativeeconomy Career Day at McCaw Hall.
Our goal: cross-examine the intricate + interdisciplinary roles of the various leads who define creative roles on a shoot WHILE breaking down the business deliverables behind a shoot AND educating why we create + produce consumer digestible assets for the fashion industry—or any industry for that matter—in the first place through the lens of a bigger picture psychological movement.

The Creative Economy Career Day is a free, annual, one-day educational program by the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development and Office of Arts & Culture providing a learning opportunity for young people, by giving them free, direct access to Creative Industry professionals through networking, experiential learning, engaging workshops, education and industry vendor tabling, and performance. Participants are exposed to a wide range of career opportunities in select creative industries. We are grateful for the opportunity to cover the event for another year! Stay tuned for more!

Janet Galore is an interdisciplinary artist and designer based in Seattle. She’s spent 30+ years in emerging tech (with over 25 patents) and today leads user experience designers working on AI at Google DeepMind.
