Our sunrise hot air balloon tour in Seattle. Same flight. Two different views. The East and West are cool too. But only if you want to look at the Puget Sound, the Olympics, and the Cascades.
Hot air ballooning in front of Mt. Rainier doesnât suck a whole lot. 𤣠As pilots, we fly our own personal balloons on our days off from flying commercial hot air ballooning rides. Why? Because we love it and would otherwise have FOMO of this view at sunrise.
After every hot air balloon flight, I come home and tell my wife it was one of the most beautiful flight ever. This sunrise flight is going to be hard to beatâ¤ď¸
Can you steer a hot air balloon? Yes⌠but we can only use the winds that are available to us. We did some highly coordinated ballet on this flight Saturday morning.
Flying over the Walla Walla vineyards? Epic! Such a fun flight taking passengers last night! Weâll be flying with passengers from the vineyards, and joining the hot air balloons participating in the 50th Walla Walla Balloon Stampede all weekend!
So proud of my 7 year old Luca. His life long dream was accomplished today. He inflated a 1100 cubic foot hot air balloon that he designed and sewed himself. As soon as we inflated the balloon he said â Can I put together a fundraiser where I take kidâs stuffys up and down on a tether to raise money for a non profit that needs it?â What an inspiring kid on so many levels.
If your kid wants to have their stuffies go up in a small hot air balloon and help raise money for some non profit organizations (TBD which ones). Youâll find him and his balloon at the Seattle Center Balloon Glow June 21st and other locations.
Thank you to everyone who helped Luca on this journey. Thank you Jon Radowski for helping him with technical aspects, and his sewing teacher Ms. Lynette!
This is the only the beginning. He is already planning to build a larger home built balloon that he can fly himself with the goal of being the youngest in the world to build and fly his own aircraft. As Dr. Seuss says âOh the places youâll goâ.

Itâs the 10 year anniversary of our first flight as a hot air balloon company. What an amazing flight we had on May 5th!
Please Post your favorite photo of us over the years or what balloonings flying means to you and your family or what you love about it! Weâd love to see them.
Ballooning doesnât happen just because a pilot wants to fly. So many thank youâs we have. Thank you to all the landowners that let us launch and land on your property, to all our amazing pilots, our fantastic crew, the maintenance team that keeps our equipment and vehicles working in perfect condition, our balloon repair stations, our customer service team, our dedicated operations manager, the folks that take photos of us, and to everyone that waves and yells up to us with joy when we fly over!
Most of all I need to thank my wife for taking care of our children when I am out flying at sunrise and sunset.
Amazing companies and tours donât happen without amazing support. I appreciate you all so much. Looking forward to an incredible season.
