It's not just that @cosplayq was a cool guy, a thoughtful and generous friend, or a brilliant and spectacular cosplayer (that one is going to leave a giant hole in the scene). But my friend Stephen Quammie was one of a small group of people who carried me on their shoulders in my darkest days, when life beat me up so bad I could no longer walk. His upbeat vibe was contagious. His professional attitude elevated the proceedings whenever he was around. He made people want to invent happenings just to be able to invite him into it.
