Term 4 - Audio Test Package Project 🏎️💨 For a school project, we were each given 36 hours to flip this video into a cinematic trailer, using only the provided library of 36 sounds. This challenged us to flex our sound manipulation and decision making skills to create an exciting, high octane soundscape. The title music was made with car engine sounds processed through a wavetable. Musical grit that sounds like extreme RPMs. This project taught me that sound selection is a major phase of any sound project, and can sometimes take longer than scoring the sound to picture - but with the right sounds you can make quick work. All sounds and music were designed by me. 🎧 @vancouverfilmschool

From spinning cocktails to mixing film tales. What an incredible chapter it’s been. Here’s a little appreciation post for the film festival season of 2025. Life events pushed me to move to Vancouver for sound design school in Feb 2024. Back then I couldn’t have told you the sound of door in a movie was fake. Fast forward a year, and 6 months fresh from graduation - it’s been an absolute trail blaze. Sometimes I get shy, sometimes I can’t keep my mouth shut - but with sound and music it’s always a stack. I can express who I am when words and extroversion escape me. The fact I can do this as a thing was a completely alien idea to me a year and a half ago. What a blessing. The immense amount of appreciation to anyone who’s thought of me, believed in me, or even uttered my name in a room I wasn’t in goes without reservation. Thank you to all the directors and producers who’ve trusted in me and my talents, and allowing me the opportunity to showcase them. To the composers I couldn’t stop working with all year, I loved every single moment and I wish to keep the bar for post audio HIGH up, and to continue to do so in progressively overloaded fashion. 💪 🏋🏻 @ashkon.mo and Brandon, we’ve been an absolute gang unit. What can I say besides rest up, and let’s keep it on gas. To those in front and behind the camera, thank you for curating these works in which I can dance upon with sounds. The firmest of handshakes all around. The talent in this city is endless, the creativity is limitless. Let us all stay dope af. Don’t forget to drink some beers on the beach along the way. 🍻🎉 Bonus: manifesting the cat distribution system to find me 😮‍💨

Your first look at RED LIGHT REBEL. 🚦 On this joyride, a pastor gets stuck at a red light, but soon finds himself at a crossroads with God. --- So excited to finally share an appetizer for this film. It was an absolute pleasure and honor working alongside all my @redlightrebel.film teammates. Shoutouts to @hannahyangfilm @avamariasafai and @justin.f.lee for trusting me and letting me do my thang. Onboarding me while I was still in school had me in a pressure cooker but when in Rome. Shoutouts to my boys from SD110 @ashkon_mo @brandumb.mx for pulling thru as a unit, appreciate the hell out of yall. Shoutouts to the ENTIRE crew for giving post audio such a fun playground to work on. 🤸🏻 Shoutouts to @joshsantosmusic and @soraheun for their art and making my tear ducts jiggle a lil in a particular scene. No tears so I'm still super manly. Shoutouts to @korg_reimer and @knightpromise at @dbcsoundinc for allowing us to make the best thing possible in a short amount of time, and giving it a masterful final touch during the mix stage. 🙏 And super big shoutout to @hannahyangfilm for taking us all on this ride, putting your faith in us and allowing us to help bring your vision to (red)light. (bars yall catch them entendres) Gala screening at the Centre Vancouver + Afterparty at the Science World on March 29th, tickets in @crazy8sfilms link in bio - you DON'T wanna miss this!!

Throwback to my Term 6 final project at VFS as a Sound Design student - Arthas, a sound redesign. What an absolute blast and learning experience. So much fun having @alexanderjbaxter in the booth to give his richness to the project. His voice is certainly a weapon, and that made me feel powerful by every definition of the word. Awesome execution Alex. Shoutouts to all the homies that sat in the Mix Labs with me, listening, critiquing, and vibing. Especially 16 hours before delivery - we proved that we're literally insane guys well done. Shoutouts to the homies outside of school for holding it down with the most rad DnD homie hangouts throughout the year that quite frankly kept me sane. Due to scheduling and other projects that I don't regret whatsoever, I only worked 3 weeks on this, and battled a 5 day bed ridden flu on the 1st of February so shoutouts to that insanity. Claps all around, can't wait to share more of what I've been working on recently. Go next. ----- 🎤 The incredible voice of the memory of Arthas' father: @alexanderjbaxter 🎤 The voice of Arthas: Myself 🔊 Sound Design, Foley Recording, 5.1/Stereo Mixing: Myself 🎧 Foley Engineer (you have no idea how clutch beauty this was, thank you): @abirainebc
