Every year right around the week of Natalieās Birthday her trees bloom and turn my favorite place on our property into a magical setting for relaxation. šøThe Blossoms are Blossoming. šThe Bees are Buzzing. āļøThe weather is just the perfect temperature for hammocking.
Help me wish Natalie a very Special Happy Birthday as she joins me in the 50 & up club. š
If you know me even a little, you know I love trains š
If you know me really well, you know how much I love setting up our model train every Christmas.
What not everyone knows is why a train under the tree means so much to me. That part is 100% Don Korb Sr.ā Grandpa. When I was a kid, he always had a train running under his Christmas tree. I was just as excited to see that little train as I was to see my grandparents themselves. I was completely mesmerized by it, and to this day, any model train under a tree instantly takes me back to those childhood Christmases.
So the year Jaxon was born, I started the tradition myself. A train under our tree. Every year since, Iāve added a little more⦠and now, nine years later, itās become MEGATRAIN (as we proudly call it).
I also wanted to honor Grandpa with the music choice. Itās not himābut it sure sounds like him, and that made it the perfect fit. ā¤ļø
Some traditions are just memories that found a way to keep rolling.
