Yesterday I was absolutely blown away at the most insanely intricate, meticulous beauty, that is this Hindu temple. No photos were allowed Inside, every inch inside and out are carefully carved marble and limestone. My mouth was probably open the entire time inside. The golden statue in the last photo is 49ft tall. Thank you Jessica for finding this for us. Amazing.
Matt Maeson’s - A Quiet & Harmless Living Tour US leg is complete. I spent 7 weeks and 6 days with some truly great people. Great band and a killer crew. We met each other as strangers in Nashville rehearsals 9/16 and went our separate ways as brothers and sisters in Brooklyn on 11/8. What a way to end a particularly busy year. I will sleep for a few more days, and I will miss each one of you.
Today was my first time at First Avenue without Conrad. Still a magical place with amazing history, It will take quite some time to get used to not seeing him, hearing his great stories, and just enjoying being around him. RIP my legendary friend.
The first 3 days of this tour were pretty surreal. Wilco, myself, and the rest of the Wilcrew had the privilege of sharing the stage with some amazing people. Waylon Payne, Lucinda Williams and her amazing band, THE Bob Dylan, and Willie Nelson and his band. I made some great new friends and feel truly honored to share the stage with icons of excellence and inspiration. Great memories were made. Of course I had to have Willie braids.
