SIMRIT has built an international reputation as one of the most transformative voices of our time. Born in Athens, Greece, of Cretan and Egyptian descent, she was raised in the American South and has spent over a decade self-producing music and touring worldwide.
With a captivating presence, her soul-stirring sound bridges the ancient and the modern. SIMRIT weaves ethereal, hypnotic vocals, roots reggae riddims, soul, R&B, and global rhythms into an immersive live experience that uplifts and unites.
Fresh off the release of SIMRIT'S acclaimed roots album, BECOME, she is joined by roots reggae greats Ryan "Ishence" Willard of Higherbound Productions, Walker "Jah Walks" Pillow, and Guno Ronde of Purity Attack, plus Scott "Big Natty" Davis on drums and Alex Antonio on keys — all having collaborated, recorded, and toured with many of reggae's legendary artists.
