Testing the Usual Suspects Vavra VST next to the hardware SY77 doesn’t disappoint at all. Waldorf made a great synth and it has been reverse engineered into my Mac by seamless coders and some real determination. They actually cracked the chip open and analyzed the structure! It’s nice adding some real reverb onto these and then compressing each channel one by one to get something a bit more viable in a mix. The Matrix 6 was added at the end for some easy Oberheim bite. This Friday... Vinyl Night at Margarita Social Club! 🔥 @sdvy177 is going to be on the decks, with funky house and good vibes resonating from 9pm until LATE. We’re especially pleased to announce that not only will SDVY177 be coming through to spin some vinyl, but that he’ll be doing it for a very good cause too. Whilst the event is completely FREE, any donations to the DJ will support the refugees of Nakivale refugee settlement in Uganda. The money collected will provide arts materials for the children who have lost their families and their homes, in a cause very close to the DJs heart. At MSC, we also want to help and make a difference in whatever small way we can. So we will be donating 10% of all margarita sales to this fantastic cause. Thanks again to @yuy.yuy123 AKA @thenegationofnegation for booking me in this weekend. It's not often to get booked alongside true contemporaries and this time I felt like I was at a home I've not been near for decades. The end of the night was well documented by many and here are a couple of my own videos from @pepekklin and his 4 hour basement bonanza. I honestly reckon he has records that aren't even on discogs, he digs hard! Also so nice to meet @tzuying_303 and build up to his set which spanned from Detroit to Berlin krautrock and beyond...
