The top 70 artists on Spotify generated $10M+ each in 2024. Billboard estimates that Taylor Swift generated $100M+ on the platform last year.
That means Taylor Swift was ~1% of Spotify’s $10B payout to the music industry in 2024.
Another interesting stat, from Spotify’s @SDuboff :
The 100,000th ranked artist on Spotify generated $6k from the platform in 2024. That’s 10x higher than the $600 that the 100,000th ranked artist generated in 2014.
