We are excited to share our new report series examining the intersection of capacity and participation in important pieces of legislation pertaining to young people. Each paper looks at a different area of legislation and combines academic research, legal analysis, and lived expertise to explore questions like… 🔹Who gets to make decisions about a young person’s life? 🔹How do age and decision-making capacity relate? 🔹How does the capacity to be heard differ from that of being the decision maker? Our immense gratitude goes out to each one of the young people who engaged with us on these often challenging and deeply personal topics. What we heard time and time again was the pain of not being listened to. We would like to say very clearly - we are listening, and your voices have been critical. Thank you. Another huge thank you to @rcybcyouth for providing funding and support for this work. We appreciate your tireless advocacy for young people across our province. 👓Link in our bio to read the papers! Send us an email and let us know what you think.
