Still hiring for the 2026 season: Assistant Chef! 🍎🍏
This position is designed to support the Culinary Manager and other chefs in preparing meals for 220+ participants, 3-4 times per day. Food handling and safety training is required, and ideal candidates should have experience working with different dietary restrictions and food allergies. You will also help ensure the cleanliness and organization of our mobile kitchen ("Miss Amana"), and coordinate with volunteers and tour staff on a regular basis.
Dates are flexible, but you must be available for at least a 2-week (14-day) commitment between June 20 and August 9. This role reports to the Culinary Manager and Corps Director.

In a continued effort to push the boundaries of innovation, performance, and Earthly physics, the Santa Clara Vanguard is excited to announce auditions for our newest featured position on… well, ABOVE the field: Jet Pack Soloists!
That’s right, for the first time in drum corps history, performers will take their talents to the sky, combining elite musical ability with precision aerial maneuvering.
➡️Selected soloists will be expected to:
Perform while in controlled flight above the field
Execute choreographed aerial drill formations
Deliver face-melting solos… from 50 feet in the air
➡️Requirements:
World-class musical proficiency
Strong stage presence and performance ability
Prior jet pack experience (sorry, no exceptions)
Ability to hover in time and phrase musically while airborne
Comfortable performing at high altitudes in front of thousands
All interested candidates should complete the official application form and submit a video audition that demonstrates your musical talents, jet pack control/stability, and any cool tricks of course.
⚠️ Important: Due to limited airspace above the field, audition spots are extremely competitive. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
