Mental health and my desk have been a fuckin’ mess. But the jams have been good, though the desire to film anything is totally absent. Which is just fine. So ya know, prepare. I’ve got an insane backlog right now.
Frankenstang and horns forever
I listened to @poisonthewell new record on repeat the other day while in Florida and I came home and knocked this out

Added a @fender BassVi to the mix and I love the way it works alongside the FrankenStang. Surf hardcore!?
My favorite place, in what feels like real Florida, yet still within earshot of cars and trains.
Got to go into the scrub when I was home and recorded this while sitting in sand. Opened my eyes at one point while recording the cornet and a black racer was staring at me from two feet away. I accidentally startled it.
I took the guitar track, doubled it and low passed it down to 110 and high passed it up to 80, then doubled that track, panned them hard left and right and retuned the left side by roughly -50 cents which should give a low theta/high delta binaural effect in headphones

Had a weekend with @dancemomethan at the studio working on his new record. Upright bass, electric bass, little bass, more bass. Was so in it I barely took photos, but these were all the mics we used.
It’s been two days of working on horns for this piece and I’m still so far off I filled the screen with nukes and bees.
Still comical how fast I can put together strings and drums@and how long it takes for my chops to catch up with my brain when it comes to horns.
