Scribe Video Center is seeking performing artists for our outdoor summer screening series: Street Movies! All types of performing artists are welcome. We are generally looking for performances of 15-20 minutes in length. Scribe Video Center and Camden FireWorks present FOUR documentary shorts exploring Environmental Justice! The film program will feature Sundance โ26 Award Winner, THE BOYS AND THE BEES (2025) directed by Arielle Knight, A TRIBE CALLED CAMDEN (2026) directed by Justin DeGuzman, Christian Haydenโs premiere of I SPOKE TO A TOMATO PLANT (2026), which follows gardeners in the Mantua and Belmont area of Philadelphia, and EVE'S GARDEN (2007), which documents the story of a lush urban garden in the middle of Camdenโs urban-industrial waterfront, made collaboratively by local residents through Scribeโs Precious Places Community History Project.
Performances by Jay Friday (@tjif_artistry ) and Rieko Safiyya (@riekosafiyya ) will precede the screening program and community discussion.

What is Video DJing? Video artist Rashid Zakat will explore this question through our upcoming four-week workshop - EXPERIMENTAL PRACTICES: VIDEO DJING.
Push the art of DJing in the visual realm. Participants will use a range of editing programs to create haptic audiovisual content and be introduced to non-linear editing styles for the purpose of creating their own video remixes.
