We also had the exciting role of designing and developing their website, and being on the ground floor of this gorgeous venture.
If you have the opportunity to travel to Nosara, Costa Rica, make sure you visit the studio for their amazing barre, Pilates, strength training, and dance classes. The space is stunning, the teachers are fantastic, and the vibes are just right.

I’m dreaming of a Beach Christmas ❄️🏄
This past year Scratch worked with @BeachBreakNosara to develop their logo design, and it was such a pleasure to work on this stunning brand.
The Scratch team got to dive into the mindset of those who come to Nosara to feel like they are truly at home, whether that’s in the surf, on the sand, or relaxing and enjoying this “magnifica” new property by Tierra Magnifica.
The logo we designed will make guests feel welcome among the waves, the palette includes colours called “Sand Bank”, “Golden Sun”, and “Chill Lime”, and the overall aesthetic matches the relaxing yet bold flavour of the surf lifestyle.
The Beach Break is a beautiful hotel for surfers visiting Costa Rica, which opens on Dec 28th with an epic celebration of live music, delicious food and drinks at Huacas Cantina, and great beach vibes. See you there!

As a designer, what are some of your favourite projects that you’ve worked on with Scratch, and why?
I love a branding project. It is so exciting building from the ground up & it’s a great challenge. Creating all the different elements & deciding how they work is like a puzzle. Once all the pieces are together you get to see this beautiful picture you have created. It’s hard to pick a favourite from the past 11 yrs but I am working on a pretty fun one right now & I’m sure we’ll share more about it soon (so keep an eye out! 😉)

If Scratch was hired to design a campaign for any company in the world, what would your dream project be?
Years ago, I gave myself a side project of creating a weekly wine label to share on social media. They were all different styles, I could play around with techniques & explore creatively. I did it for an entire year (52 different wine labels!) and it was really fun. If a wine label project were to come up I think that would probably be a dream design job. Plus, it’s totally normal to pick your wine based on the label, right?

Tell us about some of your hobbies & passions.
Aside from being a graphic design nerd I am also an interior design enthusiast (my passion started like any normal 11 year old in the year 2000 when Trading Spaces aired). I constantly find myself looking for inspiration from interior designers I follow on social media, scrolling Pinterest, or watching videos from creators in the field to redesign spaces in my apartment. I could look at beautifully curated spaces all day, every day, and find this is another creative outlet to make my space fit my aesthetic. It’s important to feel at home and have a space that I love.

If you could speak with any type of animal, which would you choose and what would you talk about?
Maybe this is weird but I think it’s really neat when people befriend wild crows/ravens/magpies. They are so interesting and intelligent, so being able to speak with them would be pretty cool
