Have you seen the amazing things that are happening in our gallery right now? Artist-in-Residence Jason Lord has been slowly transforming the space using one of our most ubiquitous materials behind-the-scenes here at The Scrap: cardboard. While visitors are not able to enter the gallery just yet, take a peek when you come in the front door. You may catch Jason or one of the other contributing artists hard at work!
To get the full tour of the completed space, make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, June 27th from 6-8pm when we will be holding a grand opening reception. In the meantime, check out the call for cardboard art via @theministryofcardboard
Calling all welders, metal artists, handy friends of The Scrap, and more - help our cart corral dreams come true.
🔺What We Need:
Two parking lot safe collection corrals for our precious shopping carts (made by two different artists) - just like at the grocery store. Durable, decorative, and scrappy.
🔺What You Get:
A stipend of $500 for supplies and as much of our metal scraps / finds in the Scrap stores as you can use - plus a chance to add to our scrappy campus!
🔺Safety + Code Parameters:
The corral must fit into one parking space and be weather and idiot proof. It will also need to be fastened to the ground.
