Whenever I do my pin curls for wig prep, I dedicate my handiwork to the late Dave Bova, who was so beloved in the theater world. He taught us about how to make the perfect pin curl, to move with the natural direction of your hair, to place the pins so they wouldn’t catch in the wig cap, and best of all, to make hair look great at the end of the night. These post-Sweeney pictures show some especially poppin pin curls that I wish I could show Dave and hope he would be proud. Thank you to all those who have helped us artists learn the skills to make our nights at the theater that much more functional.
