I’ve only had the opportunity to photograph the cast from 1 film during TIFF. That film happened to be Old Man & The Gun, staring Robert Redford along with Sissy Spacek, Casey Affleck, Danny Glover, and Tika Sumpter.
I wasn’t allowed any singles of Robert, so I didn’t get a chance to really engage with him and talk, but I didn’t mind, I can’t imagine how many of these he had done over his career. It was still amazing to photograph him and see how he connected with his fellow cast members. I especially love the shots of him and Sissy.
I had to crop in on a couple for this post because, well, it’s Robert Redford, legend.

So I’m going through old files, deleting things from the archive and I find this poorly framed shot of Massey Hall from 2009. I actually remember wanting a straight on shot at the time, but giving up as the street wasn’t wide enough to get the whole building without crazy distortion. (I was using the 5d mark ii and a 16-35mm 2.8 usm i back then)
Well cue the ADHD and I tried to salvage it.
