In the fall of 2005, I quit my part time job, packed my Chevy Cavalier with my MPC, turntables, and 3 boxes of records, heading east to the Philly burbs. My brother @emynd had just spent significant time in the Midwest (and Indianapolis specifically) and encouraged me to do something similar. His family was kind enough to house me for an indefinite period of time. While there, the goal was to create. My first solo record had seen a Japan-only official release in 2004, so I began crafting a follow up.
What turned into a 3 1/2 month stint included most weekends in Philadelphia proper (shaping my appreciation for the Philly DJs, the regional music, and their nightlife in general) while the weekdays allowed time for myself, eventually birthing a 4 song demo.
Initially inspired by 60s psychedelia and 70s AOR, I continued to work on instrumental songs occasionally over the next several years (in Indianapolis and then Brooklyn), hopeful to eventually release this collection in 2012.
That year came and went. I was unable to facilitate the release I’d envisioned, but the idea was born. Thirteen years and a few additions later, it’s finally time to close this chapter.
New album “Dead Weightt”, 12-5-25.

Philadelphia! I’ve been busy pulling records because this Friday 5/23, I’m making my return to Resonate at @saynomore.phl , holding it down on behalf of The Nostalgia King himself, @skemerichards . You already know how Skeme gets down, so I’m bringing lots of goodies for the dance floor! Hope to see your face in the place! ✌️

“This is our project.”
👊🏼 NEW EPISODE ALERT 👊🏼
I had the incredible privilege to sit down with Sirius Blvck (@siriusblvck ) and Scott Matelic (@scottmatelic ) to talk about their project Daily Rituals of the Wild Heart.
As I share in this clip, the album is 🔥🔥🔥. As they share in the clip, a lot of intentionality and care went into the creation of this record.
Check out Daily Rituals wherever you get music! And check out our full conversation NOW on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts 👊🏼
