Introducing @scott.yance — founder, creative director, and the vision behind Scottfree. For more than three decades, Scott has approached hair through artistry, connection, and intention. What began behind the chair evolved into something much bigger: a space shaped by creativity, education, fashion, and human connection. As a master stylist, Scott’s work has extended from salon spaces to New York Fashion Week, editorial campaigns, television appearances, and collaborations across the beauty and fashion industries. But beyond the industry recognition, his vision for Scottfree has always remained deeply personal. With the opening of Scottfree Couture at The Couture, this next chapter reflects everything Scott has built, learned, and imagined over the years. This elevated environment feels inspiring, welcoming, and intentionally designed in every detail. Rooted in creativity and connected to the movement and calm of Lake Michigan, Scottfree Couture was created to be more than a salon. It’s a collective of artists, educators, and creatives brought together by a shared philosophy of thoughtful beauty and meaningful experience. As we begin introducing the team behind Scottfree Couture, we start with the person who shaped its foundation.

SCOTTFREE COUTURE — NOW OPEN ✨ Soft opening • May 2026 A new wave of beauty has arrived at The Couture. Elevated hair, lakefront views, natural light, and an experience intentionally designed to feel both luxurious and welcoming. As we continue our soft opening throughout May, additional installations and finishing touches will continue taking place over the next few weeks, with the final salon experience fully completed in June. Street parking is also available nearby. If entering from street level, take the staircase located to the right of the lobby or use the elevator inside to the second floor.

We’ve reached the final stretch. Every detail has led us here, and on May 5th, we begin our next chapter at The Couture. May will be our soft opening as we complete the final finishes and installations, but the space is already alive in all the ways we imagined. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
