This headline probably doesn’t affect that many friends of mine, but this one touches my family’s hearts to the core.
At 8 years old, Seals & Croft’s was my very first concert with my whole family and one of the only memories I have where we all enjoyed the same thing, the same music together at the same time. They were the soundtrack to my early childhood (thanks Mom, lol) . Also they were the first songs I learned to play on the drums to try and impress the neighborhood moms, lol.
Their music meant everything to my family & Dash’s piercingly high vocals and cool mandolin parts always spoke to me the most.
Peace to Dash’s surviving family.
I plan on posting a much more in depth and detailed “end of tour” post soon…
..But for now I just want to thank Rog and my “New Boss” Pete, all 6 of my bandmates, the entire crew, all the family and friends that made a monumental amount of effort to come to the shows, the incredible Who fan base who were all very warm and supportive throughout this historic run, but most of all I want thank my incredible wife, Leslie, who stayed by my side the whole trip, listened to me gripe after sub-par nights behind the kit, and celebrated the magical ones too. She traveled as many or maybe even more miles than I did and did so, unselfishly. She spent time away from our cats when they needed her as much as I did.
Leslie, I couldn’t have done this without you, or more accurately, I wouldn’t have wanted to. We did it, honey. You stayed beside me and let me achieve the dream I’ve had since I was a 5 year old. I love you more with every passing day, every blister, splinter, and every bead of sweat.
I love you, my wife.
PS, now can we pass out?
Hello to all my LA Peeps. Long time, no see.
Anyone already planning on coming to either or both Hollywood Bowl shows, please send me a private message. Maybe we can make plans to reconnect?

Mike Kosturko was cool enough to share this captured moment with me from last night’s show in Newark. The audience was incredible, hence the smile I couldn’t hide.
The first two Who shows in Italy came and went and there are many personal highlights and moments from both shows worthy of sharing, but my wife Leslie and I agree that so far our personal favorite was after last night’s show in Milan.
Les & I love to go down to the hotel bar, share a drink and swap memorable stories from that day. Last night we did the same, but then this special moment grew out of near silence. As he does, Loren Gold found the lounge piano and began to mesmerize the room. Before long he had everyone singing along to the deepest Stevie Wonder cut. It really was magical.
This small moment was the perfect cherry on top of our incredible day and this is just where it started..
