I'm very proud to announce the Scott Stuart Literary Prize to support authors who are writing inclusive picture books that break gender stereotypes, centre marginalised experiences and expand children's understanding of identity.
2 weeks ago Malyasia named my book My Shadow is Purple as one of only 3 books to be prohibited completely in the country under the guise of it "being harmful to public morality".
It wasn't a book about murder, or assault, or any crime that got banned for harming morality. They chose to ban a book about being yourself.
In the face of these inclusive books being actively removed from schools, libraries and even entire countries - I'm hoping to help add even more back.

I was going through some old sketches today and it was super fascinating seeing all the different versions of this character I created trying to depict them in exactly the way I wanted.
Is there any books or shows that do visual gendering (or maybe better NOT gendering) really well?

The first month has just gone out, and I'm busy writing and illustrating month 2 - would love to see you in there!! 😍
We just did our first trip to @hkdisneyland and absolutely loved it - it actually feels like you're in a fairy tale with all the natural mountains around you.
My favourite spots were World of Frozen and Mystic Point (and of course the Winnie the Pooh ride but it's my favourite everywhere) - the Grizzly Gulch rollercoaster (where you go forward, then backward, then forward again) was objectively amazing but subjectively I couldn't handle it 😂
We keep hearing from friends that Hong Kong is one of their favourite parks and I can definitely see why. Can't wait to go again! I think we're going to try to stop in again when the time comes for our Shanghai trip!

I introduced my son to Star Wars... and we built the new @LEGO SMART Play Sets!
These sets are so much fun - my favourite bit is that when you fire the lasers on one of the spaceships, the other spaceship actually makes sounds like it is being hit!!!
My son kind of gave up on the movie, but he hasn't stopped playing with the LEGO sets!! #LEGOPartner #ad
We made it to World of Frozen at @hkdisneyland and it's been such an emotional journey stepping into a world that has meant so much to us.
Looking back at this 4 year old who had the unwavering courage to always be himself and just so proud of the person he is growing up to be.

My wife was so excited to be able to bring it to @hkdisneyland - and I am super excited to share some favourite parts of our trip soon 😁😁
