Latta Player will Keep Using the Numbers that Won Her $60,800!
A Latta player is sticking with the lotto numbers that won her more than $60,000.
She’s played 1-7-2-3 for years and isn’t going to stop now. Not after her combination of family birth dates proved lucky in the midday Pick 4 drawing on April 21.
She played her numbers 16 times to win a total of $60,800.
“It’s the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me,” the winner, who does not wish to be identified, told lottery officials. “I was screaming and hollering.”
She bought her tickets for $1 each at the Quick Stop #102 on S. Richardson St. in Latta. Eight of the tickets were played straight to win $5,000 a piece. The other eight were straight/box plays that won $2,600 each.
The odds of matching all four numbers in the exact order drawn were 1 in 10,000.
The winner is going to pay off her house and car with the prize money. “I’m so happy,” she said.

Errand to Get New Tires Ends With $500,000 Lottery Win!
A Midlands man’s day took an unbelievable turn when he played the Lottery and won $500,000.
The winner, who does not wish to be identified, told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that after spending his day having new tires put on his car, he stopped at the Sumter Stop on S. Guignard Dr. in Sumter to play the lottery.
“I was on the way home and something told me to stop and get two tickets,” he said.
The first ticket he scratched wasn’t a winner, but the second ticket revealed a half-a-million-dollar payday. It was the first top prize in the Lottery’s new $10 Winning Spree game.
“Wow!” he said.
He plans to save the windfall for retirement.
The odds of winning $500,000 in the Winning Spree game are 1 in 1,200,000. Four more top prizes of $500,000 remain in the game.
And he’s not the only winner. Sumter Stop in Sumter received a commission of $5,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
