Hey! I’m Findlay, a 24-year-old videographer and photographer from Scotland. I studied film at university, specialising in cinematography. After graduating, I moved into freelance work out of a desire to work independently, collaborate freely, and create work I was genuinely passionate about.
While I was always drawn to event-based environments, it was through electronic music (specifically techno) that I found a niche I wanted to pursue. What began as personal passion quickly became my focus. Over the past two years, I’ve worked predominantly within live music and event settings.
My goal is to continue working with like-minded people in the scene, learning from those around me and building a deeper understanding of events as a whole, so I can help elevate them visually.
Sclera is a Scotland-based visual design studio for live music, founded by longtime collaborators and friends Mhairi and Findlay. We met at university and have been inseparable ever since. Attending events together, working within the industry, and slowly shaping the idea of Sclera over the last 5 years. What started as a shared love for electronic music and event culture naturally evolved into a studio built around the creative strengths of both parties combined.
Together, Sclera combines design and moving image to create cohesive, considered visual packages for the music scene.
We are your one-stop agency for all things visual and creative for your event, brand and artist identity so you can make time for everything else. Our goal is to work with like-minded artists, promoters and teams, deepen our understanding of events as a whole, and help elevate them visually from identity and motion to documentation and atmosphere.
Hey! I’m Mhairi, a 23-year-old designer from Scotland. I studied graphic design at university, followed by a masters in design for interactive experience, specialising in design for live music. After graduating, I landed a in-house designer role at EE-Live a music promotion company responsible for dance music festivals such as Terminal V, Hopetoun House Sessions and Doof In The Park. After learning and growing in this role I’ve decided to take the jump into freelance to help work with a variety of clients on an array of projects.
I have always wanted to work within the music scene and during university this started to narrow down the path of dance music. What started to as listening to dance music in High School has now become my entire life from work to going to events.
My goal is to continue working with like-minded people in the scene, learning from those around me and building a deeper understanding of events as a whole, so I can help elevate them visually.
